Five layers of nonwoven with a meltblown filter at the centre: together they retain at least 94% of particles, as FFP2 under EN 149:2001 + A1:2009 requires. The mask has no exhalation valve, so it also filters the air you breathe out. Stretch ear loops and the reinforced nose clip give a tight seal, while breathing resistance stays low.
Latex-free ear loops (PA/EL), nose clip made of PE-coated steel wire. The materials contain no natural rubber latex components.

Every YOU-M4 carries the marking the standard requires. It shows you the product is tested, and it lets you trace every mask back to its batch:

An FFP2 mask only protects when it seals tightly. The steps follow the technical data sheet and work well for briefing your team.

Wash or disinfect your hands and check the mask for damage.

Unfold the mask and pre-bend the nose clip slightly. Then place it under your chin.

Pull both ear loops over your ears without twisting them.

Pull the ear loop gently: it stretches until the mask sits snug and comfortable.

Fit the mask and nose clip to your face and nose with both hands.

Place your hands over the mask and breathe out strongly. No air should escape at the edges.

More about FFP2
These are the three protection classes for particle-filtering half masks under the European standard EN 149. They set the minimum share of particles the mask retains: 80% for FFP1, 94% for FFP2 and 99% for FFP3. There is also a limit on total inward leakage, meaning air that gets past the filter and the edges: at most 22% for FFP1, 8% for FFP2 and 2% for FFP3. In filtration, our FFP2 masks meet the requirements of FFP3. The PREMIUM FFP2 YOU-M4 is certified as an FFP2 mask. Where an FFP3 mask is required, for example under occupational safety rules, that requirement applies.
Yes. DEKRA tested the model to EN 149:2001 + A1:2009 and also monitors ongoing production under Module C2, which means the notified body checks samples from ongoing production. You can see this from the CE 0158 printed on every mask: 0158 is DEKRA’s identification number.
That is what it is built for: stretch ear loops, a reinforced, easily adjusted nose clip and low breathing resistance. Dermatest rated its skin compatibility “very good” in a clinical study. As a single-use mask, the YOU-M4 is worn for one shift at most.
